Those are made from various resins and Urethane Mark and they are VERY hard though I've never tried to turn one and have no intention either :thinks: Henselite or something like that comes to mind.

The originals were usually Lignum Vitae and definitely worth having if you can find some. I have a number of both types and though some people don't like working with Lignum Vitae I've never had any issues with it.
