What have you all been up to

Even if you have only turned part of something or completed it what have you been up to in the shed.

For me working on the next project and today managed to turn these two pieces to fit in another larger piece which I am still working on and having fun doing so. The colours of the turning are how they look

I started to clear up the wood shed ready for the winter fire logs, the right hand is for 50 cm logs, the end middle are all at 1 metre and need cutting and splitting, the left hand side is for drying then turning, all the prepared wood is in another barn.

I gave up when the temperature hit 34 degrees

Well, Saturday went to our allotment show and came away with 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, a third, and Best in Show for our pink potatoes.

Sunday went up to Leeds to watch a cricket match you may have heard about. We won.

On our way home the phone lit up with an order from a medic I spoke to a few days back. He ordered pens, bowls and goblets made from trees he’s had to take down. All for Christmas, so no rush! (ha).

All in all an abnormally busy yet successful weekend!

Too hot here Pierre, managed to finish a bowl but that's it. I usually clean out the workshop after i finish every time i use it; but not today. The heat has sapped my energy.
    Maybe a beer will help

Another day in the workshop this time plenty of colouring but no photos yet will try tomorrow. This is what I coloured then had a good tidy up luckily the workshop is in the shade of a big tree which helps keep the temperature down along with a fan. As you can see textured both sides took most of the morning masking up
