Hi Everyone, It's been quite a while since I have been on the Forum. I have been on the dark side for a while now and have just seen the light at the end of the tunnel. Had a few health issues over the past 12 months which laid me up and I nearly came to the point of selling up. I went up my workshop today for the first time in nearly 8 months and spent what turned out to be an enjoyable 4 hours having a sort out and tidy up. Phil has sorted me out with access to the forum and it looks like I have a lot of catching up to do. Planning to sort my garage out tommorow and once that's done I intend to see if I can still turn a pen or two.

Cheers

Vic

Hi, Vic good to see you are able to return to the shed even if it is only to tidy up. Take it easy and slowly work into it again. It was only the other day I was wondering what happened to you.

8 Months would do my head in I have not been in the shed for nearly 2 weeks.

Hi Vic

Good to see you back here posting again - we've missed you.

I take it that both your knees are in fine working order now - yes?

Starting to get some improvement in the one that I had done 8 months ago for the third time The other one which I had done 18 months ago is going to need further surgery which is planned for the Summer next year. I am attending Physio sessions at a local leisure centre 3 times a week at the minute and have noticed a real improvement over the past month.

Nice to have you back mate. I know how you feel. I’ve only turned nine pens this year & that’s my total turning up to now. I went in the workshop yesterday & turned two pens. Today I turned another two & I’ll finish off tomorrow. We must be in sympathy with each other.

Ay up Bill I think your right about sympathy mate but to be honest my problems are minor compared to what you are going through. I got my garage sorted today so with a tidy workshop and garage I feel it's time to start doing a bit of turning. I have got the bits ready to start on a Dip Pen, Letter Opener all on a base with a glass inkwell that someone has asked me to make for them so that's my first challenge.
