Chinese Copy every thing even trademarks.:vangry::vangry:

A cut and paste from another sight.

For those who aren't aware there is a "CE" mark that was devised by the EU to indicate conformance with European standards.
The Chinese have in recent years been marking all of their stuff with a mark that looks almost identical, that they call "China Export" (I think it is more honest and stands for Chinese Excrement). Anyway, I was shocked to see a Moore and Wright tool carrying this mark that is effectively illegal in the EU. If you don't know about this mark, read or any of many other similar sites.

Warning: don’t get confused between the CE Mark and the China Export Mark - YBW

I've seen those Mark and these days I'm suspicious of most things as the world is flooded with chiwanese fakes.

There are several sellers on Ebay UK listing vernier gauges as Mitutoyo when they very clearly are fake. I've reported some of them several times and Ebay have taken no action whatsoever despite saying they would.

At £7.46 each I'll have 100 if they're genuine.:rolling:

I think a lot of Chinese stuff are crap and a lot of waste of space. I have bought a few things for guitars and I have requested a return of items because of it. Ebay has told me just to keep the items because of return post costs, so of to the bin they went. I you buy from china be very careful what you are buying and from who you are buying from.

The strange thing about mainland Chinese manufacturing is that they are perfectly capable of producing goods to an extremely high standard if they decide to. They choose instead though to compete on price rather than quality, and therefore the quality goes out the window. Whatever the reasons though, I was unaware of the copied CE logo, so thanks very much for the heads up Mark
