In 2016 I injured myself and was away from the shed for almost a year. Well it's happened again except I don't have a clue how I was injured. No falls, no accidents, nothing. One day I woke up sore and it didn't get better. MRI confirmed rotator cuff damage AND a torn bicep tendon. Had it been a common rotator cuff injury recovery would have been easy. The bicep tendon repair is the kicker. The tendon was cut and reanchored in 2 places. As a result my therapy for the next month is do absoutly NOTHING that exercises the bicep. It takes 4 to 6 weeks for the bone to meld with the plugs and become stable. I am allowed to take my arm out of the sling only when I shower. So I have a very boring 6 weeks to look forward to before any actual therapy begins. Not having any pain (better living through chemistry), napping a lot.

Getting old isn't for sissys.

Lord above Terry! I'm so sorry to hear the news. I wish you a full and peedy recovery, although it doesn't sound as though it's going to be terribly speedy.

That's a real bummer, hope it heals quickly.

IMO the time you spend seeping at night is fraught with danger, your senses shut down and heaven knows what happens between closing your eyes and opening them again. The number of times I wake up with aches and pains that somehow happened overnight is very common. :rolling:

Unless of course I have been doing something and just can't remember :winking: Old age is a bu**er.

Kind regards and understanding sympathy Terry I have missed your thin line and excellent pens. Been through many episodes and just today working on my trailer it took me it seemed forever to make and innovate. Very satisfying. Great to hear from you, last night I established contact with a dealer in Jerusalem by telephone a neat experience in the quest for lovely wood blanks the way mother nature made them.

Once more mate take it easy and roll with those punches,I walk with a stick and highly value my disability scooter. Into Rocks,Orchids and Wood Guild,Vietnam Vets Assn, Carnivorous plants. The recent one in a hundred yr hail storm centred on our suburb did heaps of damage and the Insurance Coy is on the job.I miss racing up on the roof etc, using ladders etc, surprising how many would be foreman in this world.

Cheers mate. Peter.

Thinking of you again with Pauls and Marks line blanks in plastic and wood reminded me of your thin lines etc. I noticed the centres of Pauls was a round dowel and Marks a small hexagon shape.

Praying for your safe recovery, when I was youngerI always knew what caused but like you now in a continual state of surprise when waking. For me it happens we both have a nanna sleep in the afternoon as well.

Kind regards Peter.
