This site is not secured.:thinks:
Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is an extension of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP).
It is used for secure communication over a computer network, and is widely used on the Internet.

Any idea when this site will be made secure?:thinks:

Les
I guess it's down to cost Les, the forum hosting fees have to be paid as it is and HTTPS is another cost that will be have to be paid by the person hosting the forum/site.

In reality the forum is costing Phil money already and as there isn't any transactions being taken and any selling/payments is done off site then I'm not really sure if it's worth having.

That's my take on it.. TBH I now believe I have good security software so not too concerned about it not being a HTTPS site,

One of the security features on this site is that the link to our real identity is blurred by the use of pseudonyms to deter would be fraudsters from trying to extract financial information from members. Phil Dart is really Phillip Dart, except on a Friday night in Exeter when he’s really Philomena, and if you thought I was Neil Farrer I got you there, I’Ve been outed. I’m really Prince Bongo natty natty Blank, president of the Nigerian Pen Turners Federation and I used to have an Aunt who died leaving $6m I need to get out of the country. If anyone would like to earn 10% of this wealth then please leave your bank details on these pages and I’ll carry out a test transfer of $10 to see if it works.

I'm Nigerian as well Neil, are you my long lost brother in which case I must have a claim on at that $6m. I'll need to set up a special empty bank account to accept such a large payment though.:whistling:

I had a call from my website hosting company telling me I needed to buy a certificate as my website was not secure. I said "why am I paying you for a site that's not fit for purpose then?"
He then said " I'm just trying to educate you", so after a bit of an explosion I said " I work in a job I love and can work as hard or easy as I please, and you work in a sh#tty call centre, so who needs educating?"

Come come now fellas I appreciate the humour however to belittle the absolute class that Les brings to this and many other forums is unfortunate and extreme.

I am confused over security but my worst came from a member on here when I tried to coincidentally pass on Les,es method of warming chamber his security caused me to lose everything on the net, took all day with phone calls around the world to gain restoration. So many users with absolute satisfaction Les cannot be discounted.

Kind regards to all.

Peter.
