    Still model making

I am still working on models but only the tractor now that the truck and loco are finished.

The last few days have been dedicated to making the wheels for the tractor.

The third and forth photos are the front wheels. I only need two but will see which are the best ones.

The rest is some of the work on the rear wheels, the last photo is the dry fit and up to this point on the rear wheels there are 86 pieces and yet still more to make before they are complete.

That’s a work of art, and that, Derek, makes you an Old Master. Rembrandt, Vincent, Raphael, Francisco, Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Derek.

Hmmm doesn’t quite have that ring about it!

All this work you must be really tyred...
Well done, there's an awful lot of work gone into those. I seem to remember another model you made where the wheels took longer to make than anything else. Great job

Old yes master well that needs thinking about. The only problem with all the others they only became famous after they were dead, I don't have any plans to join them well not yet at least

DSCF2680.jpg Here you go Derek a few tractors so you can copy their bits, you only need treaded tyres on the front if you have 4 wheel drive otherwise the treads are superfluous

Thank you all and thank you Pierre for the photos

The rear wheels are now complete 100 parts in both wheels.

I have added a quick mock-up as I still have a steering wheel to make and all the parts in the little tub to glue in place, also finish shaping the front wheels Then it will be putting a finish on it. That then will be the models made for this commission I still have two nutcracker soldiers and a box to make for them.

The next time I hope you see this it will be complete so that is a Loco a truck and this tractor all started on the 16th May this year so I do not think I did too bad time wise
