I like others make and sell pens mainly at 9 craft Fairs during the year. I have been told that I should Register as a SOLE TRADER. Are you registered or have any opinions on this subject.

If you're already selling then you should be registered with HMRC for self assessment, that's all that's needed along with adequate insurance i.e. public and product liability. That's all I did in the 8 years of doing craft fairs.

If you turnover more than £1000 a year(Turnover not profit) you need to be registered.
Easy to do, just makes you keep good records to be able to file your return once a year.

I agree with RATTY, you have to keep record of what you buy, and what you sell. The :vangry:HMRC:vangry: are not very good good at letting you off with a warning, :sob:they will want there pound of flesh:sob:.
