As you can imagine my usual main income teaching turning has been a bit sparse recently. I did sell a record amount of gift vouchers last year and have more people booking courses now that actually want to take up turning as a hobby, so things are probably going to get a bit mental once restrictions are finally lifted.
In the meantime I've been getting some bits sorted. Not gloating but I thought some may like to see.

I'm so looking forward to not working or going out anywhere this Christmas. It'll make such a change from the not working or going out I've been doing since March!:whistling:

Still can't load pictures:rant:

Did you forget to resize them Neil I know I have done that a couple of times in the past:goesred::goesred::goesred:

They're the right size and I can select them but when I hit "Upload to Forum" they just disappear. Normally you can see the number of the pic in the text and see the actual pic in preview.

That is what happened to me a couple of times

Neil, are you hitting 'insert image'?
If so try the 'Attachment' button instead.
It happened to me and our chief Phil recommended to do that.
alan

I'm using insert image as normal, don't seem to have an attachment option in the task bar.

Don't have it in windows 10

When you type your post and down next to the post reply button is a "go advance" button press that and scroll down a little further and you should see Manage Attachments follow that and see if that helps

Neil, I havent tried Derek's suggestion, but if you go into 'Post New thread' there are 3 lines of symbols. The top line has a symbol that looks like a paper clip. Click on that.
Maybe the chief will come in on this and explain it better. ( I don't know computer lingo )

The paper clip only appears in Post a new thread and will not appear in a reply to thread.

I've added your photos to the post above Neil Lawton.

On Windows 10, when you start a new thread, you should see these controls at the top of the pane

capture 3.jpg

You can use either the "attachment" or the "insert image" button to upload photos, but if you're adding photos in a post to an existing thread, you'll only see the "insert image" button unless you first click "Go Advanced" at the bottom of the page.

If using attachment, you'll get this popup.

Capture.PNG

You can attach up to 3 photos at a time, bit don't forget to click "Upload" before you close the window.

If using insert image, you'll see this popup.

Capture2.PNG

You have to load photos one at a time by this method, and again, don't forget to click "Upload file" before you close the window.

I hope that helps.
