Your not going to have fish and chips at the Magpie are you Tony. That is where I usually go. We are going to Scarborough tomorrow for fish and chips!!!!
What part of Yorkshire do you hail from??
Jim I hope you have a productive weekend. I've got some pens to photograph that I've just finished and then it's back to bowls.
Regards
Terry:thumbs:

I've got all of next week off and was hoping to get loads done. Unfortunately we've still got 6 inch of snow on the ground and its a cold forecast for the next week, so turning could be limited but I've got three orders to do.
Speaking of fish and chips me and the wife regularly drive from Wrexham to Knareborough to eat at Drakes chippie - lovely.
Going to Stockport today to get my 16 yearold a ball gown and shoes for the end of school prom. Something that our friends over the water are to blame for here. The wife says I'm tight but I think of the tools I could buy with the £200+ its going to cost me!!!
Was given some holly yesterday. Its in the log and 3ft by 6 inch. 4 pieces altogether. Whats the best way to season it and what to make out of it when its ready?

Gees still got the snow mate? It went here as quick as it came.

Depending on what you plan for the holly i would put aside a good piece for segmenting, it is great wood to mix with ebony or blackwood.
