I have a friendly Mechanic,I used this kit with a small blank of Honduras Rosewood with Sapwood and a real off the shelf Spark Plug. Removed the porcelain insert, cut the lower part off, made an adapter to fit the plug to the kit. It fits in the hand and is easy to use.

Spent last night searching for what would suit the plug. i had years ago made the plug using white Corian and hex shaped some African Ebony based on the centre band from a Streamline Pen.

I have a healthy respect for Spark Plugs. When I was serving my Apprenticeship in 1952 I was transferred for three months to a sister firm of Auto Mechanics, one team member a big Aussie had a favourite trick of stalling a V8 motor running using his hands across the Spark Plugs and kidded me into trying it. Never again, horrible experience.

So now I have the ideal present for a Motor Mechanic.

Peter.
