Oh, it does screw together fully, just wasn't closed up fully and noticed after I took and up-loaded the picture.

Not done any of these for a few years and had a backlog of people wanting and kept asking for them..:rolling: so decided to see if I still had it now plan to hopefully keep a few of them off me back from pestering..

Last ones I did of these was with my dad prior to loosing him so this means such allot to do one and took me a long time to put my mind to it and focus. Meant getting all the old notes out that he wrote and brought back many fond memories.

As usual look forward to your C&C

Just added this pic, side by side of a Mistral just to give you an idea of size.

Clean threads on both the body and tip sections. Simple lines to the closed pen and also when the two sections are revealed. Note some of the big manufacturers could learn from your design. Understated finish Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffanies wore a simple black dress completely understated that set a trend from then to now.Eamonn you and your Dad Posthumously have set a beaut trend with this pen.

The nib looks fairly fina another big tick for me no 8,s that are not hollow or flows where you need clean lines. I am used now to Chinese fine fountains I love.

Installing the pen with the ink dispenser rather than the cartridge is a plus, this allows quality ink to be used of choice.

The clip is clever, looks neat and understated, useful and fully finished, the cap top strong besides the clip needed to balance the black nicely.

A lesson for us mortals Hail the Prince of Pens.

Peter.

Very nice work indeed. I like the brass ring on the pen body to reflect the brass clip on the lid - lovely detail. The quality of finish is superb. For me, the clip makes it - such a tricky custom piece to make. Superb!

Thanks for the positive comments, much appreciated..

I am in progress of sorting out the next one, after handing the pen over to someone I trust and has had experience of our pens I now have a few improvement areas and what I need to do to get the standard where I need it to be.

Got in touch with one of our old silversmiths friends to see about having a couple of bespoke clips made.. Look forward to getting back in to them again now..
