Another very nice man thread.
Neil L sent me a slab of Rosewood for my knife handles, a goodly sized piece will make a many I fancy init?
Many thanks to you Neil, I just love the red dust that comes off this wood, makes me wanna keep it for I dunno what.

I showed a blade I had made in another thread but can't remember what I called it to look for it, Neil suggested a Rosewood handle and duly sent this to me.

I thought that as I had left the tang on the short side a turned handle would suit this knife, now it's done I am not so sure?
What do you reckon?
Anyway I am pleased and proud if my production nevertheless.

Tools steel supplied by Bob Lons ground on a 4" wheel to get the hollow grind and filed to shape, hardened and tempered at the pub bbq which is like a furnace then polished to sharp by hand.
Brass courtesy of an old door knocker I have had in my tool bag since Noah was a kid.
Wood by Neil completing my first totally hand made proper knife, it is certainly easier to buy a blannk but I sure did get a lot of pleasure in creating this.
It does have imperfections but they are all part of the me that's in it init?

Definitely worth waiting for Brian, I love it.

I'll bring you some more steel to York. Now that you've started you need to make a set:ciggrin:
