Mahogany textured platter.

This platter is 330mm dia. x 30mm deep. The textured rim is done with a homemade texturing tool.
It is finished with s/sealer & carnauba wax.

Mr Sheen move over Don that depth Mahogany can give is splendiferous mate the texturing as good as it gets it complements never intruding deep enough but oh so subtle it ripples and eddies like the tide the best I have ever seen on a platter.

I like using texture like this on my bits it just adds a little to a bowl I think. Well turned and textured Bill

Now that's a lovely piece, I'm often a bit dubious about texturing (don't know why) but that really enhances the piece.

Maybe I should open my mind a bit more. :nooidea:
