Hot Wired is 130mm tall x 230mm diameter wall thickness is around 3mm. The hollow form has been HMG sprayed black and then coloured using copper gilt cream to give the effect of copper wire wrapped around the hollow form. Top is texturedDSC_0668.jpg

Ed well woven mate thats a prize winner right enough first place in the front row for mine. Even win a prize with the spinners and weavers. The texture is mind bending even gives the appearance of yarn wrapped and glued in fact it is unique in my experience. Oliver Twist would be thrilled to have thrust that one forward for more. When you said you turned for 30 hrs I believe you spend the time it takes when you do.

Thankyou for the lift about to dissapear in the bowels of a magnetic monster for an hour or two will shut my eyes and dwell on this marvellous bowl.

I happily followed Woody,s direction to your web site Ed I loved the site it was slow but faultless IMHO leaned a great deal. It surely gives the members yet another dealer your free post oiver 50 pounds more than fair especially with heavy gear.

Peter you will see the site speed up over the next week, I have had someone working on it and it's in test as I type.

The finish is HMG (hot melt glue) this applied to the finished turned piece, this is then sprayed black and then copper gilt cream is applied for the effect. Just a note if you are doing this make sure that the finish on the wood is 100% because once sprayed it will show ever mark.

All the best and thank you for your comments

Some work looks to have gone into this Ed, looks good for sure ..

After a few looks at this i really like how you have done this, the outer bowl looks as though it has twine growing around the bowl ..

I have been looking at this piece Ed and still not sure about it myself, but having said that I appreciate the work and thought that has gone into it well executed. I would like to have seen a little wood showing
