I got some blanks at car boot sale and decided to try to improve my skew chisel skills, or lack of.
The skew is now my friend (well almost). Still a lot to learn.

I enjoyed designing/making these and hope that they will be put to work by a lacemaker.

Lignum Vitae, Tulipwood mainly.
Practised my design using Birch, Hawthorn, garden shrub twigs.
8mm max OD, 110mm appx. long.

Some Lace Makers dream mate shapes I have not seen they love variety and sets of the same pattern, different timbers. Look up the local Lace Makers Craft Group.

Very nice Tony, the skew isn't easy to master and takes a lot of perseverance but you've obviously gone through the pain and now you own it...

Thanks for comments gents. I put them on Ebay. Have already had some nice complimentary comments re the shape.
I don't expect much for them. But at least, I can shift them and move on
