damson and eucalyptus burr boxes

Hello folks

here are two new boxes

first up is a piece of Damson fruit wood that came from a tree in a friends garden, the tree was dying as it had rot up all the centre but I managed to cut some 3x3 spindle blanks from around the rot.




this little box was roughed out in 2005 and was just sold as eucalyptus burr (fully waxed of course as it was very wet) I used a piece of lignum vitae as a collar

Exciting little turnings mate you never fail to amaze me I have timber like this you inspire me with your finished turning.
