Had a good day and managed to get some bits turned 10 bird houses from all of the off cuts I seem to gather and a clock from a scrape piece of walnut which I thought was no good and nearly ended in the bin.
The bird houses are great little sellers and don't take long to produce when you make them in a batch. And the clock was just to use up some of the clock mechanisms I still have left.

Thank you guys just adding to my stock.

Awesome, would love to see how you make the bird houses!!

They are made from small pieces of wood each piece is placed in a standard chuck spindle mode and the face cleaned up I then drilled a 1" hole 1" deep this is for turning later. I took the next piece which is the roof and did the same by cleaning up the face but this time made a 1" tenon. I changed chucks to one with a 1" jaw set These fit a treat into the block with the 1" hole drilled into it the bottom of the house is shaped and sanded. Now replace this so the jaws hold the tenon in the second block I shaped the roof and drilled a tiny hole to fit a small screw in eyelet. Colour and finish as you wish.

Those birdhouses are cute ... how big are they ?

They are 1 1/2" at the widest and vary from 3 3/4" to 5" tall and being hollow I find this is just right weight wise to hang on some Christmas Trees
