A neighbor of a fellow turner sold 100+ trees to a veneer company. They take the trunks and leave the rest. The bowl is 15" diameter. Pics are the inside and bottom. Even though it is green it was by far the hardest most difficult piece of wood I have ever turned. Almost 2 hours to rough. Should be ready to re-turn in about 2 months.

I harvested close to 400kg. I will go back when the weather cools down.

They took the trunks the boring bit and left you some fantastic crutch pieces you have certainly got the better end of the stick and when this one is dry and you can finish turning it it will be even better

I have yet to be in the right place at the right time like that, mind you if i came home with 400Kg of timber i would have nowhere to put it lol, i would certainly try though lol
