Good looking box Walter and the finial is not too large either.

Not sure about the body Mark, the blank was something I won in a raffle at the club and it wasn't marked with the species. Think it might be London plane. The finial is made from a Rosewood pen blank supplied by Neil Lawton

Looks more like Elm not London Plane. The box is from London plane and the bowl is Elm

Thanks Derek, Like I say, really not sure about the wood, I have pieces in both elm and plane that look similar. Wouldn't argue with anyone who said it was one or the other.
