Yes, I cobbled this Dremel attachment to use on my Metal Lathe in place of the tool holder, will hold straight cutters, circular cutters etc. The holder basic section is an aluminium extrusion used by truck body makers to hinge the back round steel hinge for the swinging flap. I have haunted such places and hardware stores for years researching ideas for DIY. Met my match recently with my Carnivorous plants Pollinating one such species with a small brush apparently where the plants come from insects do this specific to country. Glad I am not an IVF Surgeon the plants are more forgiving.

Andy you can make some thing like Peter for you wood lathe.
I've turned a few of these now and this is what I've learnt:
1. It's a real challenge on wood lathe to get an accurate hole and for these were talking 0.1mm tolerance.
2. I've tried different chisels/ techniques and the Sorby multi tip hollowing tool is the mist controllable. You need tocut, measure, cut, measure taking only miniscule amounts of material off.
3. I've had 3 failures using CA glue. 2 where the wood ring cracked and popped off and a third where the wood popped after the ring was dropped.
4 So far no failures with epoxy (gorilla brand)
5 All in all these are fun to make and great for using up small scraps of wood.
6 wood must be absolutely dry or stabilised. Dense grained woods work best. I'm going to try acrylic next.
