I didn't do much turning in December because my workshop is colder than an igloos doormat. However, I did manage to turn this box, a Christmas gift for my wife. I carved a heart on the lid (I'm an old romantic) and finished it with a bit of pyro texturing.

I decided that she might like to find a surprise inside, but seeing as I'm fresh out of diamonds I made a bee and stuck that in there on top of a flower.
I half expected her to drop it when she opened the box, but she loved it.

Behiving yourself I believe your present for the wife is a stunner. Behind every woman is a good man and with imagination and skill, love the surprise Bee inside.

I like the idea of the little surprise of the Bee. I am not surprised that she likes it
