I Live in Carmarthenshire South Wales and the plan was to sell the table , however SWMBO liked it.
Changed our old hand made table and I now have a 5 foot x 2 foot x 4inch thick pippy Oak waney edge slab to either sell or cut up for blanks.
Wood was reclaimed from a local builder who had loads of off cuts of Solid Oak kitchen worktops.

A very nice idea putting the words on to a table to remind you of your heritage. When you say engraved do you mean done with a pyrography machine

Morning here Johnny magnificent Coffee Table mate I can understand the wife claiming it. I watched a Video of the anthem played on a car stereo driving through streets in Wales through the windscreen sung in english. Beautiful words mate.Enclosed the lower part of the burl I cut for Skiprats exchange, he lives as near the top of Wales as you in the South. It would seem a shame to put a cloth on your masterpiece.

Peter.

Oh I like that Johnny, superb looking piece of furniture.

Engraved using my CNC Routing machine.

Must be a nice size bed.

I just brought a second hand gantry unit to "play" with, it was on Mach3 but it wants some TLC and I also want to convert it over to smoothie or GRBL tho.

At the top end of its capacity , it is the german made Heiz High Z -s 1000 -t model. I use the Vectric V Carve pro programme
Still learning its capacities and capabilities .

Do you have rotary for it?
I have a large workshop and do not have rotary 4 D attachment , but if you have a spare one you don't need , i will take it off your hands :winking:

Nope, have one but not spare, not yet anyway..

Not got mine even at home yet, its stored elsewhere as I really don't know how I'm going to fit it in.

I need a bigger workshop, or less tools. I don't think the latter is going to happen tho:rolling:

I just sold a few tools to create space, a hegner scroll saw , a Dore Westbury Milling machine and a fox table router and a small record DML 305 lathe.

I am a horder and amazing what i have accumulated over the years.

A great piece of work there...

Given your in North Wales I guess Welsh is you first language so I am sure you will read those words with pride at each coffee break.

What was the wood reclaimed from?

Kevin

wow that is something very special.
Can i ask how and what you used to do the engraving?

Beautiful table there Johhny. I remember hearing this sung at Arms Park way back in the way back when and thinking the stadium would collapse! Men of Harlech is still my favourite though, when i was at Drindodd there were three male voice choirs playing one night one Welsh one South African and one Moari it was ana amazing night!
