Yew‘ve got to love Easter[emoji6]? 5" high and 3.5" wide at the base a bit of pre-Easter fun. First time trying to make an egg not bad shape but the base could have been better

Can,t wait to get into my chocolate ones in a couple of days.

When turning eggs have a real one standing by,measure the egg and determine the ratios.

Apart from that who gives a toss I like your egg and agree about the base.

Peter.

A very well turned egg but personally I would have made it separate from the base and then used a different wood on that which I believe would show the egg off better
