Hi guys,
Had a go at a honey dipper. Never made one before, great fun. This one has been made from apple wood, sourced locally, finished in walnut oil, just to get the grain showing.

Hi John,
afraid so mate, that's been on the back burner for some time. Must have started to turn that months ago, as the apple wood started to bow a little. knocked out a trial bottle stopper in mahogany as well. That was left on the mandrel months ago too.

Sorry Terry,
been out and about. No skew practice mate, I can't seem to make them work for me. I have an old Marple 3/8th.wood spindle chisel with only 3 inch steel left, bought from a car boot sale and ground down to a finger point.
All the dipper turned by this tool and sanded down to 400 grit and a very light wipe of walnut oil to bring out the grain.
