So it looks like I am going to have to buy stuff from the USA. More expense.:sob: This turning business is turning into a money pit. Every body loves my pens until I tell them how much they are then they rapidly lose interest.

There are two videos on U Tube that show how to make your own rings. 1.How to make a woodring making machine. 2 Woodring making system. Low cost fun no need to buy mandrels, make your own.

Two choices now mate make your own or buy mandrels, good luck. I feel the pain buying from the USA as our dollar is down as well as your pound is.

Kind regards Peter.

My recent experience with Amazon was 100% favourable. I ordered from China a pair of Scissors with a swooped shape to trim plants in a fish tank C/W a spatular and long tweezers. The parcel arrived (free freight) minus the Spatular and Tweezers # days later an E Mail from Amazon how was your purchase etc .I replied two important parts missing. Kerfuffle to the Chinese provider then E Mails complete refund keep the scissors. That seemed marvelous to me. Just saying.

Best shop in the world.

I had already checked out the two links posted. Metal clay sells ring core blanks but as far as I can see they are designed to be used with metal clay. Not what I'm looking for.
I ordered a ring mandrel from the other site on the 19th Im still waiting for it to arrive I emailed them about delivery and they replied.
They have some ring cores on the web site but I don't understand the sizing system. Some of them are different from others I don't know enough about ring making yet to order anything from them other than the ring mandrel and I'm not sure until it arrives I have bought the right tool for the job.
Other than that I have failed to find any ring cores on the bay or etsy or any were else for that matter.

I had no problem with dealing with them :thinks:

In order to get the right size of ring core you need to get yourself a set of ring sizing gauges. I got a set off eBay for a couple of quid. No problem getting the right core at all when you use these

Hi

I'm the owner of Ring Supplies UK and have just picked up this thread.

Firstly many thanks to the forum members who have supported us and placed an order :-)

All our orders have been fulfilled with nothing outstanding, could it be possible that you ordered from a different site? - There is a USA site with a website address ringsupplies.com - we are ringsupplies.co.uk

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if I can help at all

Thanks
Phillip

My apologies I just checked it was not your company I ordered from. The company I ordered from only had one type of ring core on its web site and the ring mandrel I ordered. I see you have several types available on your site.

go to flea bay and search for stainless steel rings. You will get thousands. Buy plainish ones from China for a few pence. Sand down the etched design and you have a ring core for peanuts. QED

Quite a mares nest making rings and bangles. They both become special orders to accomodate the ring size for the person or the ideal wrist fit, then you will find out the real niggles at acceptance time. Venture carefully and remember ring sizes in the US use yet another measurement guide.
