A few more turning efforts I did a while ago ...
A goblet made out of a bed leg! No good wasting nice wood when your practicing eh :funny:
The bed has a wobble and I've no idea what the wood is.

A little mahogany pencil pot with a pyro'd Welsh dragon, made for my Mum.

A lidded box, again for my mum. Mahogany wood with pyro'd celtic design and resin gem on the lid. The lid and base are made from two separate blanks as I had an off-cut left over from the pencil pot

And finally, I just had to make a little mushroom because I love em! Made from English Yew, thankfully the split didn't give me any problems.

All look good to me, very tallented, is the pyro done free hand or did you use a mask or pencil in the design first ? One of the things I keep meaning to try & have never got round to lol

Hi Martin, thank you.
I always mark the design out onto the wood first using graphite tracing paper as I can't afford to make any mistakes with pyrography as the only way to 'rub out' any mistakes is to sand it back which is a real pain if you've spent ages getting a nice smooth finish.
