Well, the truck is complete only the loco and tractor to finish. I then decided to add a quad bike to the mix as a little extra to go with the truck when I send it. The quad still needs a finish and the wheels fixing

Thank you all.

One down and two more to complete before starting on another two nutcracker soldiers and something for a 2-year-old they are all for a commission to the same person. Turning is on hold for the time being, well until the soldiers. I may just try and sneak something in just for a break as there is no deadline for these as long as it is withing reason.

Great stuff, only know too well what goes in to making these as watched my old man doing them for many years.

You do a superb job of them and nice to see so keep posting Derek..

I just want to see the 360 excavator that I sent you the drawings for next. No pressure..:winking:

Just great, are they all for the grandson or has he graduated to a wooden push bike?

Not for any of the family this time had a phone call and the chap ordered 6 items I quoted and he did not argue about the price

This order is going to keep me busy for a while which is good considering all this lockdown keeps me occupied.

Been working on the loco wheels today there are 18 in total 4 main drive wheels 6 boggie wheels and then another 8 for the tender having to turn all of those but not without a hiccup went to rough cut the wheels and the bandsaw blade broke so had to resort to the big one with the wider blade. Went to mount them on the lathe to find that the pen maderil and pen saver did not fit so had to dig out the second lathe which they did. Never mind still got there in the end but still have more turning to do as only managed to turn the 4 main wheel flanges.
Pen mandrils have more uses to me other than turning the very odd pen now and again.
