    TV table/stand

I've been promising to knock up an oak TV stand/table thingy to replace the horrible grey MDF contraption the TV has stood on for a while. My wife likes plain furniture so no decorative moulding or carvings. This is functional not a piece to be handed down through the family so as long as the missus is happy the job's a goodun. ;)

I had one board of oak with a number of splits and faults from which I squeezed out the top and drawer front, a length of 50mm square, just enough for the legs and 2 turned knobs, not shown and a number of mixed T&G floor boards for the rest.
No work in progress as it's simple M&T joints for the frame with the shelf and sides planted on.
Drawer box I made from some left over birch ply as I was struggling to find hardwood but I used an ancient Elu dovetail jig on the joints, I would have done them by hand in solid wood honest.

Final sanding and finishing still has to be done, it needs to be low sheen and as light as possible so I may well use Osmo raw or just wax it, i don't like the finishing bit so not in any hurry.
