Made this today a coin set (but not fixed so it can be reversed if wanted) in a pen stand commemorating the peoples War which you don’t hear a lot about set in the time of the glitz when children were shipped out of places like London and the Mums stood on the train platform with heavy hearts waving goodby to their children not knowing if they would ever see them again the same as some waved goodbye to Sons Daughters, husbands, Fathers, loved ones with the same heaven hearts as bombs fell all around them.
Some of us can still remember the hard times that continued after the war when strange men were returning home some broken most with serious problems that the family had to cope with.

So as we remember those who didn’t returne let’s also remember those who did and those who stayed at home thank you if you got this far.

This is being auctioned and ever penny raised will go to Ex forces and families with PTSD

The true sacrifices can never be measured.

Even today we see, and mostly ignore, our own broken veterans.
The sacrifices today are nothing compared to those made in WWII, but they are still sacrifices none the less, and they still hurt a lot. Every single day another veteran becomes broken out on civvy street as they fall through the so called safety nets. Sadly we live in an age where the society and general population find it easier to look away. We have at the very least 1 broken veteran, and probably a few more, on these forums.

I could write pages on this subject but here is the wrong place.
Woody and others like him are doing an amazing job fund raising for Veterans, and on a personal level I cannot thank them enough :bravo::claps::claps:
