This longer version of our Double Pen Blank Mould has been made to accommodate the growing range of pen kits which use longer tubes, you can get 2 projects out of one blank with kits such as razor handles and the new TM Athena, or you now can easily get 3 standard tubes such as Sierras from one blank without the usual waste. You can cast two matching blanks in one go, then saw down the centre, ideal for matching pen sets. We've also added an extra 3mm on the width for the kerf of the saw blade.

This mould would also be suitable for making knife scales, by filling the mould to the required level then slicing in half on a bandsaw, you can make matching bookends.

1 cavitiy @ 20mm x 43mm x 180mm.

The cavity requires approx 175ml of resin to fill line.

External Dimensions of mould - 75mm x 210mm x 35mm.

Note: internal height of the cavities are 25mm to prevent spillages and has a handy indicator line to enable you to fill to the right level.

Thanks John, I’m pleased you are happy with the moulds, not sure what you mean about photos being mixed up though! Or are you pulling my leg?:funny:

For the long double blank mould post you have a picture of a single, for the single mould post, you have a picture of the double. :thinks::funny:

The pictures area correct John , but I realise now why you are thinking they are the wrong way round lol

The single & double reference I use, refer to the actual cavity/blank size & not the number of cavities in a mould! ie single = a single blank 20mm x 20mm, double = a blank 20mm x 43mm which can cut down the centre creating two blanks (hence why I call them double)

To confuse things even more we refer to these as “Large Single” & “Large Double” not because the blanks are larger, but because they are larger moulds with more cavities.

Thanks for clearing that up Paul, I understand now.:oldman:

I must have checked the images on my phone about 1/2 a dozen times yesterday whilst out at work, then started to think it was just some sort of wind up, it wasn’t until this morning I realised what you was referring to :funny:
