People often ask about pen boxes and packaging. Here are some of the methods I use: The cardboard boxes are from The Tiny Box Company who also do the embossed gold printing. The inserts are from Scott and Demi Walker and fit most pens. Scott and Demi can also supply laser printed boxes. Where special instructions are needed these are printed out and glued to the inside of the box lid. Spare parts are supplied in the little plastic bags that come with all kits. For larger or more expensive pens such as the over and under shotgun cartridge pen I provide a leather pouch, various types are available from suppliers on eBay and Amazon (shop around for the best price). Double versions are available and are useful for pairs of pens. Thinner pen and pencil sets like the Siroccos in the photograph will usually fit in the wooden boxes available from many of the usual pen kit suppliers. For price tags I use small tags to which a printed label is applied, they are attached to the pen clips with thin nylon ties. Almost all of the refills supplied with kits are discarded and replaced with Beaufort Ink products.

Most important of all: DONT FORGET TO ADD THE COST OF PACKAGING TO THE PRICE

That’s a good idea regarding the instructions Walter mate. On more than one occasion a pen has been returned because it won’t work after a refill has been inserted. When I point out that they’ve lost the spring the normal reply is that there wasn’t one there to start with. I point out that the bleeding pen wouldn’t have worked in the first place without it in and they’ve lost it then they claim I didn’t tell them about it at the time.

Scott is "Sawes" on this forum and is the owner of the Mr Resin Blanks Forum in the seller's forums section.

His website is About page - Mr Resin Blanks

He is on Facebook as Scott Walker and www.facebook.com/mrresinblanks

You will need to contact him to specify exactly what inserts you want as he does not have them on his website.

brilliant, thanks. I will drop him a line when I run short of the boxes that I bought from Billy.

Thanks for posting this Walter, very useful.

Perhaps Scott could post details about the inserts?

Off topic. Off Topic! Sorry Walter. Thanks for showing us your pens and packaging solutions. Your Siroccos are Mistrals by the way, but that's not the point. As Bill has already said, a pen in a box is a present, and increases it's perceived worth, either monetary or intrinsic, by a large amount.

Thanks Phil. The small cost of decent presentation is recovered many times over in the increased price that can be charged.

They are indeed Siroccos, but it is all hot air anyway. :face:
