    They look fantastic.

I have just ordered a small piece of Polyclay cane and I am going to give it a go. Interesting stuff to work with.

    Wow those are gorgeous!
What do they feel like? I assume they have been baked and cured but if I remember my childhood machinations it was still semi soft (i.e. it would take a fingernail mark)?
What is it like to turn? Can you sand it? How do you finish it?
I don't think that its over priced there is a ton of work in producing that and its a real work of art!

Hi Andy.....all Toni blanks come post baked......yes you could still dig a nail in if you try...all i do is polish and then CA finish.....leave between coats ( my choice) and sand and polish to finish.....there is a tutorial on her site Claypen blanks.....she makes the canes so she also does a lot of bespoke work too....
They are not easy either as you can get imperfections like little dips or hollows but i like them and think there worth the effort20171208_151513.jpg
I only open my mouth...to change feet...

Oh it looks stunning and having looked through her site I'm really tempted to order something for the wife she'd go nuts for one.
From I read in your post they don't need turning? just finishing?
I assume to fill the dips and hollows we're talking many many coats of super glue? and then an ungodly ammount of micromeshing?

Thanks again, sorry for all the questions and once again that looks absolutely stunning!

Phil, Iím assuming Toni gets the tubes for Your Mistral Fountain & Rollerball Pens that she has advertised on her website, from Beaufort Ink! Can you tell me if she also orders the tubes for the Mistral Ballpoint? They donít seem to be on her website.

I've just ordered one for my wife Paul. Toni was really great to work with and will happily combine her designs to your requirements. I'm sure if you get in touch with her she'd be happy to do the Mistral ballpoint. If you use the contact form on her website expect a phone call from a lovely very excitable American lady!

Cheers Andy, With all the other expenses at the moment, I won’t be looking into purchasing one until nearer the spring now, so will get in touch with her nearer the time.
