I've spent the last couple of days trying to order a couple of pen kits online, also tried calling Beaufort, the number cuts off after a few rings and the website just takes me to a "payment complete" page as soon as I add anything to the cart!

Anyone else having such an issue or know what's up? I've only bought two kits from them so far but was already hooked on their product / customer service.

Crisis averted, phone back up and working again (and with the same fantastic support as I've experienced before) and the website issue was solved by deletin cookies. Phew!

Ah, I've just put two and two together Del, and realised the connection between you and the phone conversation I had with a Derek earlier.

Glad it's sorted. Cookies - you've gotta love 'em.

Thanks for your order by the way.

haha yes I tend to use my full name when ordering anything as that's how it is on all my cards / banking, but personally hate the name so don't use it if I think I don't have to! (not that Del is much better...)

Look forward to cracking on with the next pens in the next few days!

I should have asked when on the phone - can you order just a few of the components or is it not cost effective? If this design I have in mind works I'll want to do some more, but in reality won't use half the kit!

They're complete kits I'm afraid Del. The bits you have left over from a closed end pen will be useful one day though, when you've given up scrabbling on the workshop floor hunting for the part you just mislaid in the shavings.

(Do not ask me how I know this):sob:

haha I may possibly have already experienced that on my very first pen... :whistling:

Not to worry, I am sure I'll find another use for them either way!

Its all a ploy for Phil to sell more springs!! He coats them in invisible ink that activates when they hit the work bench then they sit there smugly so you cant find them for 2 days then when you go back there they are all bright and shiny just where you saw them fall!!! :sob: Or they hit the bench on the end and then pogo stick everywhere!!!:goesred:

Cor! and I thought that it only happened to me.........my stuff disappers into a time vortex and returns to exactly where I left it two days later..I think it's a bug in the algorithm :whistling::whistling::whistling:

I confess to French Ancestry courtesy of my Mums family who emigrated to Sth Australia following Bonaparts process of bringing in to Germany just nth of Paris French citizens,my Frenchman married a German wife. As Mark said all our mob emigrated to Sth Australia in the 1700,s from the UK and Europe paying their own passage by Sailing Ship.

Heritage enabled settlement in Australia.Since we had and have no control on our predecessors I broke away and made pens for my long lasting hobby since the 1980,s.
