Congratulations to silver for his winning pen http://www.penturners.co.uk/wood-turned-items/22961-bohemia-mistral-fp.html in this week's Pen of the Week.

Eamonn's winning pen will feature on the Forum's front page until the next winner is decided, and all pens posted on the forum since last Sunday morning will be eligible for POTW15.

Because I'm moving in a few days time, and I'll be unable to organise the poll, we're going to leave the Eamonn's worthy winner in place for a couple of weeks, and we'll plan to vote on POTW15 in a fortnight's time.

Thankyou Peter, your words are very much appreciated.

I have done some more research since Mark gave me the links.

Seems as it's more of an Asian orchid wood than an OZ originated wood.

It's a really nice wood to turn and finish, the grain is stunning as well.
