    With your design Pierre your pen was made of several pieces you can do the same with timber using burl you can easy achieve continuity and matching. I like the approach you made for your pen.

    Yes, both of you are right. And if I wade so many rings in the pen, it is because the two blanks didn't fit.
    But, if I don't consider me as a "yardstick of quality", I am kind of a perfectionist, and I remember using two pieces of curly koa in the same pen, I thought it should go, but at the end the grain and colour was so different that I binned it. But I do admit that it works most of the times with burls.
    Anyway, glueing two short pieces of different nice woods to make an interesting pen is an attractive challenge!!!

    There was, but I deleted it yesterday, I can easily recreate it, but I would only release the points of those who agree for them to be released.

    I can say the 3 highest points were 11, 7, 5

    If people want to know the votes for their pen I can tell them by PM if they PM me, but I don't think it is fair to just release the whole lot.
