I gave her a citric acid bath for a couple days and with a bit of gentle persuasion I managed to get most of the parts off.
Can any one help me out on how do I gets these parts off?
There appears to be a key holding this gear on, how would I knock it out?

Hard to say without actually handling it. Gears with key ways are usually a friction fit and need a gear puller to remove them.
I wonder if he could do anything for me??
If I ever manage to get myself working properly again I will send you some ideas.
A little heat might help and a bl..dy great hammer.....
Seriously, a little heat from a blowlamp should help and loosen a few bits. I have done this before and it worked but can't say that it would work in this instance.
