    What a shame

    Well had a tree surgeon in today to take down a conifer tree which we let get to big. I measured it at the cut and it is 37inches diameter but being a very soft wood not much use to turners. I got them to leave the stump a little tall as not 100% sure what to do with it may just cut it shorter...

    Red Bull Celtic Knot

    My first attempt at a celtic knot using maple veneer sandwiched between two lengths of drinks can. The timber is elm. Not 100% accurate, I'm going to have to improve the wee jig I made.

    New Ebonite fountain pen

    Some lovely Ebonite from Phil at Beaufort ink. I love working with this stuff. This is the first of these i've made. Im not 100% happy with it, but it's a start.

    wood over hand problem on pen`s

    I am having a problem with the nib section of pens you can see a overhang at the top of the image. I have tried different mandrels and other bushes the bushes are fom axminster measured them today and they are not 100% round so any advice of how to cure problem or is it a case of just getting...
