    From Bad to Worse

I tried the other kit I had of a shock absorber pen, whilst turning it near the finish my hand twitched. The good news is that I found a 3rd kit to go at. I will give it a try once I get better at making the pens using callipers.

A belated Happy New Year to one and all.

Happy New Year everyone. I hope Santa was kind to one and all and that the new year brings all that each of us hopes for. For myself, I've decided that Christmas day and New Years Day falling on a Monday is the ideal arrangement. It seems to maximise everyone's time off for those who are lucky...

    Gunmetal Alpha's

Not the best photo, but here are 5 Alpha's. I'm only certain of the wood on the 2nd and 3rd from the left which are 2nd Brown Oak 3rd Spalted Beech. 4th might be Padauk, 5th might be Purpleheart. 1st one is brown. Finished with Melamine Lacquer.

First attempt at deer antler pens

I was wanting to get some of the natural bark left in places but the antler was a bit to thick, managed it on the 3rd one in the center.
