    ca finishing and the weather

    Hi guys, I’m new to turning pens, but recently have been having problems with the bushes sticking to the blank after applying a ca finish. I have tried the tapered plastic bushes as well, but find that when breaking the bush off the blank, the finish is chipping. Have tried using a parting tool...

    European with home made blank.

    I am still casting like crazy, and what I get are some good looking blanks, I did ruin one when turning but I will keep on. You do have to be careful about chipping, but high speed and sharpness should get you through. Yes James, I did use My proedge, get one. :thumbs:
