    Early Christmas present to myself.

    DeWalt DW733 thicknesser, I just couldn't turn this down as it's a steal at £150. Not brand new but only used a handful of times so as good as, not a mark on it. He uses a variety of highly figured exotic wood and has offered to keep suitable offcuts for me as well - happy days.:banana:

    Having had a look online, there are several places to buy Exotic Pen Blanks. Was just wondering if anyone has used any particular sites or could recommend which ones to purchase from. Also, just wondering if it's a case of just ordering your favourite, or wether there are particular blanks to...

    What a shame.

    I have just read that at the end of the year Leroy from Smitty Pen Works will be retiring and unfortunately his business will be taken over by exotic blanks, ah well, it was good while it lasted. Peter
