    Spiral form on stand

    Not a new piece but a repair and reposition of the turned spiral form on the plinth. The spiral is yew and a black ebonising spray inside finished with Acrylis sander sealer and Satin Lacquer and a final polish with wax. The plinth was cut and burnt before adding liming wax and again finished...

    Liming Wax

    Has anyone used liming wax?- Im thinking of using it on my bog oak pens to enhance the grain and assume it needs to go on after lacquer? Question is - will it eventually wear away or can it be sealed in with a final coat of lacquer?
