    A finish for London Plane Burr

    Hey folks. Can anyone suggest a nice finishing product for London Plane Burr. This was my last purchase from Beaufort and I have finally gotten around to turning it (I've been busy with other hobbies in the meantime!) The pen is not looking too bad but would benefit from a shiny, lustrous...

    Fruits of my labour

    The wife said it would be a good idea for me to make some fruit so I did. Made from Yew, Walnut, London Plain and Apple. The finish was kept simple with sander sealer and buffed with carnauba wax.

    London Plane Bowl part 2

    A second bowl from my London Plane stock, the grain on the blank was fantastic so I kept that on the flat rim otherwise, I would have lost it. It also was fading away on one side so I put that where the thinner part of the rim is. two burnt lines to highlight the rim and the bowl edge. I also...

    London Plain Bowl

    Had a couple of club members over for a chat and to go over different things so I turned this while they were here. London Plain finished with sander sealer and buffed with carnauba wax. Measures 8 1/2" X 1 1.2"

    Small hollow form 4" X 3 1/4" top is spalted beech for contrast and the main body from a dirty looking piece of London plain sprayed with ebonising spray and decorated using chestnut iridescent paints and finished with satin acrylic spray
