    Flat top with aussie burl

Hi everyone, This is the result of my last efforts in the workshop. An aussie burl, not as nice and rare as the ones Penpal is showing these days, but a nice brown mallee nevertheless, that deserved to get rid of most metallic parts. Based on a Jr gent kit. C&c very welcome. Enjoy!

    Biro

I've just purchased a collet chuck for doing some small turnings and tried it out by turning a pen with it just for a bit of fun. For the nib and ink I used the bits out of an old biro. The paints are metallic acrylics, borrowed from my wife's mountain of arty crafty stuff. George

    Pigments, Dyes, and Metallic

Hi all I'm getting ready to do my first casting with Alumilite. I can not seem to find any information on sure thing recipes. I have to order in pigments, dyes and metallic additives ... expensive. So I wanted to order what I might need until I get more experienced.
