    ACACIA Waddywood

    Only 1000 of these trees indigenous to Australia from a 200 yr old fallen tree. Heartwood is reddish love the contrast with sapwood very hard to get as well,strong heavy timber from the edges of the Simpson Desert. Peter.

    Ok so here is my latest pen, again a gift for family and I think it's maple but not sure so I have supplied a image of the wood I used. Pen was turned in short/end grain just to see if I could ( why not ) making my own rules. The pen is from Beaufort ink first of many I think, good quality kit...

    Pursuing the DNS pens - Junior pen

    Yep - still pursuing the DNS kits - this is a Junior fountain pen in Walnut. Making each pen is a learning experience! The nib is an interesting design, but writes very smoothly indeed. Finished to 320, then cut'n'polish, buffed. As ever, critique and comments please. Thanks, Chriscb
