    Burr bowl

    Well at least the outside is near there had to give it a good soaking with sander sealer as some areas are a little soft. This is a rough turned piece donated by Frederick of this forum. I think I also inherited his camera skills(New computer so getting use to it). I just needed to turn something.

    A chrome Omega pen dressed in Chestnut burr blank this was an off cut from a burr I turned a while ago and I rough cut to shape and keps anypieces that I thought I could use as I have here

    I used a broad file for the last mm when turning my pens - Is this a bad thing?

    And I thought I was having a good day........ until the end. I spent the day rough turning a few blanks and filling 2 black plastic bin bags with shavings. Then decided to turn a spalted bowl I had rough turned a while ago. it ended up looking pretty good until.
