    Mazzucchelli - Green (Poseidon)

Hi All I recently got hold of some of the blue/green (Poseidon) Mazzucchelli Ceboplast and made quite a few pens from it. This material is becoming increasingly scarce so its nice to have some again. It has a couple of properties that are a little different compared to other plastics. First of...

    Yew Omega

This one took a lot of patience and a very, very light touch. I wanted to start sanding before it was even round. Chisel got sharpened ever 2 minutes as this was tough bit of wood.

Gents and Ladies, I'm after a bit of advice. I have bought a crown 19mm round nose scraper, and I have checked the grind angle on it and it comes in at 75 degrees. As I have a Sorby ProEdge, and it doesn't have a 75 degree setting, can anyone recommend a good angle to regrind the Scrape to? The...

    HSS chisels versus Carbide tips

I would like to say at the outset i am not here to wind people up. I know most of you are diehard wood turners. I use a small round carbide tip on a home made handle (oak) and 5/16 round SS rod. The carbide tip has zero rake and i use it to basically knock off the edges of the blank. As it...
