    Spiral form on stand

    Not a new piece but a repair and reposition of the turned spiral form on the plinth. The spiral is yew and a black ebonising spray inside finished with Acrylis sander sealer and Satin Lacquer and a final polish with wax. The plinth was cut and burnt before adding liming wax and again finished...

    Follow on from my no-name pieces this is the other part of the spiral. This time kept the base natural oak and turned the spiral is ebonised and then masked and painted with green interference paint. I also extended the support and added a ball, like the spiral ebonized and this time blue...

    Spiral bodied Zeta

    making a pen for someone who has grip issues. Decided on this spiral bodied Zeta . The spiral body enhances the grip and prevents it from slipping.

    Yew Goblet

    While the Oil finish was drying on the coloured Chestnut burr I made this goblet as I wanted to do a spiral on a stem. Measures 7" X 3". I did have a catch which wrecked the foot but managed to find a piece of yew and roughly match that to the rest as I had put too much in to the spiral Ok 15...
