    Amalgam blanks

    Just a quick question regarding amalgam. Is this more akin to polyurethane or polyester resin? I got an amalgam blank from Vince at Turners Workshop and when I was drilling it today, the swarf seemed more like polyester to me. My concerns are really about how brittle amalgam is. :thinks:

    Had a bit of fun making these blanks one is just the tube dipped in glitter then set in resin the other one is plastic swarf from drilling my patriotic centre bands and set in resin enjoy because I did

    Segmented Corian pen

    Made these blanks up this afternoon and turned them both corian and plastic I should have cleaned out the hole after drilling as some of the swarf is showing through the red acrylic the kits are from our dave at Pen Kits - CubeCart

    Baron Stainless Swarf

    This is a blank I made a little while ago and it nearly killed me making it, I am quite pleased with how it looks, it's stainless swarf in resin on Trivalent Chrome Baron. It looks like a mixture of Brass and Stainless, but that is because I coloured the resin and the deeper Stainless looks...
