Been a while since I've made any pens, first time I've used these kits, both rollerballs, in gunmetal and chrome, using Thuya Burl & Stabilised Maple Burr to dress them.... Regards Padster

Hi, are thuya wood pen blanks a thing anymore? i have looked at my usual goto places but can not seem to find any. Any tips appreciated.

So today I've been turning Thuya Burr wood and found it very waxy. the wood is choking up my sanding paper. with the waxy wood to the touch what finish wood you use I'm going to try Melamine but open to other finishes I do want a high gloss finish on my pen this time.

Thuya burl, natural finished, Mistral and this time I followed the instructions. It is definitely tactile and so far has 2 customers!! PG
